In partnership with the two Yorkshire National Parks, the Nidderdale and Howardian Hills AONBs and Ryedale District Council Yorwoods provides a biomass facilitation service which develops woodfuel as a viable renewable energy source amongst rural communities in the above-mentioned areas.
Working closely with local communities, farms and businesses the aim of the service is to gain a greater understanding of the capacity for the local woodland resource to supply woodfuel; to promote the use and supply of woodfuel; to advise upon woodfuel boiler installation and to advise on woodland management to achieve all these aims.
