Eco-Lots is a free service designed to help the rural economy by assisting with the environmentally sensitive and sustainable management of land, trees and wildlife in the UK.
It seeks to do this by providing a free online advertising medium for sales, wants and events covering a wide range of rural products and services.
There is no subscription fee, no commission fee and no advertising charge.
Eco-Lots is the result of merging two previous initiatives - WoodLots and Eco-Ads; each of which produced a small magazine every two months containing adverts. By bringing them together on-line to form Eco-Lots we are able to offer a wider ranging and more reactive service without the need for users to pay a subscription or advertising charge.
To promote local trading networks Eco-Lots has a regional structure throughout Britain and Northern Ireland. Each of the 22 regions has a Regional Co-ordinator to act as a local point of contact for advice and information.
