Tracking Timber in West Yorkshire
Hosted by the West Yorkshire Working Woodlands Project and delivered by the DEFRA sponsored Central Point for Expertise in Timber (CPET) at Pugneys Country Park, Wakefield 26 representatives of various Yorkshire-based organisations attended the workshop where they learned the latest in sourcing legal and sustainable timber and what forest certification can offer.
The use of legal and sustainable timber is not only ethically sound but often a contractual requirement so ensuring that a supplier or an end user is sourcing such material, whether this be timber for construction, wooden furniture or paper-based products is important.
