Training
Wood Enterprise Yorkshire
We have been successful in securing funding from the regional LandSkills training fund to make funding available for training for woodland owners and foresters. Throughout the programme, we will aim to increase the level of woodland management activity across Yorkshire’s farm, estate and amenity woodlands to bring about economic, biodiversity and landscape benefits and to increase the volumes of timber entering the biomass supply chain.

Lantra LandSkills

The project aims to increase the skills base of farmers, farm-foresters, landowners and forestry businesses to enable them to better manage their woodlands, diversify their economic base away from agricultural production and improve their businesses.
Grant aid of up to 70% of the cost of a course will be made available for delegates who are part of a business, organisation or social enterprise which is dependant on forestry or utilises any woodland product.

Eligibility criteria do apply and you will need to be a woodland owner or derive a minimum of 20% of your income from woodland and timber related activities in order to benefit from the funding available.
If you would like more information on any courses which are being provided, please email Carrick for details. Enrolment forms and eligiblity criteria are linked below so you can make sure you are eligible for the funding.
